Dubai Cake Picnic™ — A Bridgerton-Inspired Cake Tasting Experience in the Desert

A NEW KIND OF LUXURY EXPERIENCE

On 7 December 2025, we launched the first edition of Dubai Cake Picnic™ at Bab Al Shams, a Bridgerton-inspired afternoon of artistry, cake tasting, and desert elegance.

When I first imagined this concept, I wanted to create something that didn’t exist yet in Dubai:

a luxury picnic experience centered around cake artistry, editorial design, and community.

Seeing it unfold in the desert felt surreal, pastel installations, showcase cakes, lounges, florals, guests arriving in theme, it all came together in the most magical way.

WHAT DUBAI CAKE PICNIC™ IS ABOUT

Dubai Cake Picnic™ reimagines the classic picnic into something refined, meaningful, and beautifully curated.

The experience featured:

A tasting journey across artisan cakes
Over 20 showcase creations
Editorial-style pastel lounges
Bridgerton-inspired décor
Handcrafted installations
Cinematic footage capturing every detail

It was a celebration of creativity, hospitality, and edible art, something truly new for the region.

THE AESTHETIC — A BRIDGERTON AFTERNOON

We leaned fully into a romantic pastel palette:

soft blues, blush pinks, lilacs, creams, pearls, lace textures, delicate sugar florals.

Every element was styled to feel like a scene from a period drama, but reimagined for the Dubai desert.

Florals by Stellato Events and Glamour Rose brought the editorial concept to life, while serpentine tables and curated lounges completed the visual story.

THE VENUE — BAB AL SHAMS

The desert at Bab Al Shams gave us the perfect canvas, serene, cinematic, warm, and expansive.

Zala Lawn allowed us to build an experience that felt immersive and magical, especially during golden hour when everything glowed in soft sunlight.

The partnership with Bab Al Shams elevated the entire experience into a luxury editorial moment.

SHOWCASE ARTISTS & ARTISAN CAKES

We were honored to welcome an incredibly talented group of cake artists and dessert houses who each created pieces exclusively for the event.

Their creations included:

Sculptural wedding cakes
Botanic sugar florals
Textured pastel tiers
Petite mini cakes
Artistic confections

Each cake told a different story, and guests had the chance to savor that artistry through our tasting tokens.

A NOTE FROM FOUNDER

Bringing Dubai Cake Picnic™ to life has been one of the most meaningful creative projects this season.

My vision was to design a space where artistry is experienced, not just admired, where guests can walk through beauty, taste it, feel it, and become part of it.

This first edition is just the beginning, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who trusted the vision and celebrated with us in the desert.
